Not your conventional chemistry teacher.
I attended Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio where I earned a BA in Spanish. After completing my studies, I joined Teach for America and moved to the Rio Grande Valley in the great state of Texas! I love teaching chemistry and have taught the on-level, advanced, and AP chemistry courses over the past seventeen years. In addition to teaching the chemistry curriculum, I am passionate about integrating technology and preparing students for learning and working in a quickly changing world. Due to my educational background and passion for technology integration, I take a somewhat interdisciplinary (and slightly unconventional) approach to teaching chemistry. I'm really looking forward to another year at Round Rock High School! Get Ready! |
What? Life outside of chemistry?!
While I expect a lot of hard work from my students, it's important to keep some balance in your life. When I'm not studying chemistry with my peeps, I enjoy learning about new technology and learning how to integrate that technology in my classroom so that we can use our time more efficiently and effectively. Outside of class, I enjoy hanging out with friends, swimming, yoga, and experiencing the outdoors. Finally, one of my favorite things to do is hang out with the family and play tennis with our dogs.
